No student will be permitted to perform science activities unless this contract is signed by both the student and parent/guardian and is on file with the teacher.

Additionally, students are expected to:
- Abide by the honor code set in place by the school. Infractions are recorded in the gradebook for parents and administrators to see.
- Follow directions promptly the first time they are given.
- Be in your assigned seat and ready to begin by the time the bell rings. A “Do Now” Activity will be projected on the Smart Board, start working on it as soon as you sit.
- Place book bags under their seats. Bags are not allowed on desks or in the middle of a hall. This is particularly important for safety reasons.
- Keep their desk uncluttered, and clean up at the conclusion of the activities.
- Wait for a sign of dismissal by the teacher. Remember: The bell does not dismiss the class, the teacher does!
- Raise their hand to speak. Do not interrupt others.
- Complete homework assignments by their due dates. No late work will be accepted.
- Use the proper assignment header in all their work.
- Keep all work properly organized in notebooks, binders, bags, etc.
- Have an agenda to record homework and important dates.
- Study for quizzes and exams.
- Have academic integrity. Cheating/ plagiarism will not be tolerated. All individuals involved will receive an F, a phone call home a possible a referral. Zero Tolerance!
- Keep cellphones silent and away. Cell phones are NOT allowed in class anywhere they can be seen; that includes your desk, your pocket, your hands, etc. They must be in your book back at all times unless otherwise specified by the teacher. Breaking this rule will have your cellphone confiscated and sent to the office; you will receive an F for all assignments administered the day of the infraction and a phone call home. Repeating offenders will be referred to an administrator.
- Be familiar with the 15 minutes rule. students won't be given passes out of class during the first and last 15 minutes of class.
- Last period of the day is required to put chairs on the tables to help the cleaning crew do their work.
